Transfer from Akureyri to Reykjavik with plenty of attractions on the way!

The route goes westwards over Öxnadalsheiði pass, through Skagafjörður, over Vatnsskarð pass and  up Blöndudalur valley,  past Blönduvirkjun hydro-electric  power station with its huge reservoir. 

A stop is made at Hveravellir with its geothermal activity in the midst of the highland desert. From there the tour continues southbound across the interior and between two glaciers, Hofsjökull and Langjökull. The next attraction is the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. Not far away is the famous Geysir area. From there the route follows Road 35 through Grímsnes, and from there through the municipalities of Selfoss  and Hveragerði. 

After crossing the Hellisheiði pass there is only a half an hour's drive to Reykjavík where the tour ends.
