AH221  Iceland From Below & The Blue Lagoon All year round

Highlights:
  • Lava tubes
  • Craters
  • Stalactites
  • The Blue Lagoon

Tour Description:

The tour takes you to unique sights of Iceland’s most spectacular lava tube caves and craters. These beautiful, natural phenomena reveal extraordinary scenery of lava formations and colors.

There are no handrails, lights or any preinstalled tools in or around the caves. We rely entirely on the equipment we carry and that people respect our guidelines.

After the healthy exercise you'll be transported to the famous Blue Lagoon with a bus that leaves Reykjavík at 16:00. Once there (at around 17:00) you have many recreational options such as enjoying a meal in their á la carte restaurant, walking in the Blue Lagoon’s spectacular surroundings or bathing in the milky blue-green seawater.

For a unique experience indulge yourself with any of the various outdoor massage or a spa treatments the Lagoon has to offer.  We recommend booking this in advance by calling +354 420 8800.

The last bus back to Reykjavík leaves the Blue Lagoon at 21:00 (there is also a bus at 19:00). Please note that the busses leave on schedule, so we ask you to be at the parking lot at least 5 minutes prior to the bus departure.

Please note: This tour is not recommended for children under the age of 10. Visitor pass or entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon is included in the tour price and two types of entrance fee packages (standard or comfort) can be bought when you have pressed the “Book” button.

The Blue Lagoon bathing fee standard package includes:
Visitor Pass and entrance to The Blue Lagoon.

The Blue Lagoon bathing fee comfort package includes:
Visitor Pass, entrance to the Blue Lagoon, use of bathrobe, use of towel, drink of your choice, skin care gift card, volcano scrub or algae mask.
Please Note:
Due to regulation, children under the age of 2 are not allowed to go into the Blue Lagoon but are welcome on the premises.
Children at the age of 2-8 must use inflatable armbands at all times when bathing in the Lagoon. The armbands are available at the bathing area.

We did the Iceland From Bellow Tour on the seventh of September, and even though it was raining and foggy, it was by far the highlight of our trip to Iceland. We absolutely loved it! Our guide Dee Dee, was absolutely hilarious. We loved her!! She was extremely insightful and enthusiastic. For example: when she saw that the car #3 was right beside us, she was fanatical that we should meet the president! Most tour guides limit themselves to what they think we, as tourists, should know, but our tour guide wanted to share everything with us. There were no restrictions. You had a question, she'd answer it even if it wasn't cave related. It felt as though we were a group of long lost friends traipsing around the lava caves. Once again: we loved her!! The lava caves were amazing! I personally loved the Udder Cave, it just left me in awe! Most people who comment about this tour normally say such things as "it's really small" and "a lot of crawling", I on the other hand did not find it to be so. I'm not going to lie, it's not exactly roomie down there, but it's to be expected, you are after all in a lava tube. My mother came with me on this tour, she's fifty years old, and she absolutely loved it! If you have the opportunity try it, you will not regret it. It's AWESOME! ;)

Fantastic trip. Scrambling through the lava tunnels was a great adventure and it was lovely to relax in the blue lagoon afterwards.

Tour of AH21 "Iceland From Below" was very exciting and we had a good experience. Very much satisfied with the tour and the guide. But for going to Blue Lagoon, after AH21 tour, firstly we were send back to your ticket office, and after that again going to Blue Lagoon. For this reason, we did not have enough time to enjoy Blue Lagoon so much. It was better if you had send us from Lava tube site to Blue Lagoon directly.

The caving tour ends at our main office downtown where the 16:15 bus to the Blue Lagoon is boarded. this is according to the description of the tour. Glad you enjoyed the tour though and had plenty of time at Blue Lagoon
