AH72  Into the Blue - Snorkeling All year round

Highlights:
  • Snorkeling in Silfra

Tour Description:

The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best kept secrets. Silfra, which is situated in the heart of Þingvellir, the site of the world’s oldest parliament, is an otherworldly scene. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. Frequently rated as one of the worlds top ten dive sites, the Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility and is  located on top of the separation between Europe and America! After an hour of snorkeling we climb out and head back to the car. Into the Blue is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most will only encounter in their dreams.

A really wonderful experience, amazing view and colours in chrystal clear water. Our guide was great, and the same goes to the 2 very nice girls at the dry suite trailer. Thank you for a super day :)

Lisa was absolutely wonderful as the guide. She was calm, was very helpful, and an enjoyable young lady. We were lucky to have her. The jump off the cliff in the end was an absolute rush and a lot of fun. The van driver, however, was a bit odd. He never said a word to us and, it appeared, he forgot (or didn't know) that he was supposed to pick up other people. When one of the guides asked about it, he didn't offer to go back and pick them up or apologize. He was just a bit strange. So, first impression, was we weren't sure about the trip but once Lisa took over, it was absolutely first rate!

We got an upgrade from the snorkeling to include a cave walk as well. We went in October and the water was freezing, but thanks to the dry suits we did'nt notice. The water was all clear and the guides were very dedicated, and professional. The cave was also amazing, and we are very happy we went there as well. Tips to others is to wear proper hiking shoes and clothes, as it will make your experience much better, at least it did for us. Thanks to our guides for this incredible day!
