AH231  The Viking Horse & Blue Lagoon All year round

Highlights:
  • Horse riding tour
  • The Blue Lagoon

Tour Description:

This combination of the Viking horse riding tour and AH229 The Blue Lagoon is for those who don’t have too much time but still want to make the most of it.

Get  acquainted with the Icelandic horse which is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought it to Iceland in the 9th century. Enjoy a one hour riding tour on the outskirts of the capital.

After the healthy riding experience, we head to the Blue Lagoon. Once there you have a variety of recreational options such as bathing in the milky blue water, massage and spa treatments or simply walking in the Blue Lagoon’s spectacular surroundings. For a unique experience indulge yourself in an outdoor massage or one of the spa treatments available. We recommend booking these well in advance by calling +354 420 8800.

Return to Reykjavík is available at 15:00, 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00. Driving time from the Blue Lagoon to Reykjavik is around 50 minutes.

Please note:  Visitor pass or entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon is included in the tour price and two types of entrance fee packages (standard or comfort) can be bought separately when you have pressed the “Book” button.

The Blue Lagoon bathing fee standard package includes:
Visitor Pass and entrance to The Blue Lagoon.

The Blue Lagoon bathing fee comfort package includes:
Visitor Pass, entrance to the Blue Lagoon, use of bathrobe, use of towel, drink of your choice, skin care gift card, volcano scrub or algae mask.

Please Note:
Due to regulation, children under the age of 2 are not allowed to go into the Blue Lagoon but are welcome on the premises.
Children at the age of 2-8 must use inflatable armbands at all times when bathing in the Lagoon. The armbands are available at the bathing area.

We really enjoyed our horse-back riding and the Blue Lagoon experience. The staff at the horse farm was so nice and so helpful in finding our phone when it was lost during riding. The blue lagoon was such an amazing experience and it was great to have the transportation all included! Thank you!!

Really fun experience. The horse ride was thrilling, but a word of warning...your pants and socks may get a lot of filth on them (bring a change of socks at least). The Blue Lagoon is heavenly as always..try to get an underwater massage while there.

This was our second tour organised by Grayline and again could not find fault. As total novices myself, wife and 15 year old son loved the horse riding. The staff at Laxnes Farm were helpful and friendly and selected a horse that was appropriate to your riding ability (or lack of). The weather wasn't great but you are supplied with waterproofs and boots if needed and obviously helmets. You really feel that you've experienced a little bit of the real Iceland as you get to know your horses character, (they're all different), as you walk, trot and even gallop along. The Blue Lagoon is another must for any visitor to Iceland. This tour did not include your entrance fee but merely the transport to and from the Blue Lagoon. This was however quite flexible as you were given three different departure times to suite your needs. We stayed for about three hours which gave us time for two long relaxing soaks in soothing lagoon which ranges from warm to boiling hot. We also had time for something to eat and wander about to take photos. While we were there the lagoon was visited by the president of Finland ! strange but true.

Whether you are doing the Golden Circle or the Blue Lagoon, Horseback Riding or Jökulsárlón "Glacier Lake", they will take care of you in modern comfortable coaches, with knowledgeable staff. Congratulations Iceland Excursions and thank you once again!

I really did love it! The riding team was fantastic and the Lagoon really relaxing. I just died a little inside when I had to put put back on my horse-smelling clothes after the blue lagoon, but otherwise, absolutely brilliant!
