Tour Description

Panoramas IcelandThis evening tour gives you the opportunity to see the highlights of Iceland under a bright and charming evening sky, reflecting a different light on the landscape.

We start by visiting the Þingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was established in the year 930 AD. The area was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in August 2004.
We continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall in the golden rays of the setting sun. From there we visit the geothermal area around the incredible spouting geysers of Geysir and Strokkur, echoing into the peaceful evening glow.

This is a great opportunity to experience romantic tranquility in a beautiful area that touches everyone.

We arrived in Iceland on what might have been the only sunny evening in 2 weeks and took the Golden Circle Evening Tour. What spectacular scenery. Our guide, Natalia was extremely knowledgeable about the Icelandic history and the relationship of the land to the island history and its inhabitants. She also had a wonderful dry sense of humour which made the 5 - 6 hour tour more enjoyable. If one has only a short stay in Iceland and wants to get a taste of the island, its history and view some fabulous landscape, we would recommend this tour, and if you Natalia as your guide, you have a bonus.

We much enjoyed Grey Line's Golden Circle afternoon tour. It was a really interesting trip with adequate time at each venue. Linda, our guide, gave an excellent commentary with details about the sites we were visiting and background information on Icelandic life. She was helpful at the sites too- ever ready to take photos etc.If like us, you have limited time on a cruise stopover, the afternoon trip gives a chance to see the city in the morning then do the tour later in the day. The tour started at 1pm and we were dropped off at our ship at 7.30pm.
